Privacy Policy — Guardians of Steel

This Privacy Policy describes how Guardians of Steel ("the App", "we", "us") handles personal information of its users ("you"). The App is published on Google Play by Vitacura Soft.

1. Data we collect

The App collects only the minimum data required to deliver its features:

• Anonymous player ID: a UUID generated locally on first launch to identify the player across sessions.
• Game progression: high score, current level, life slots, in-game crystal balance, achievements progress.
• Country code: derived from your device locale, used to build country-specific leaderboards.
• Language preference: from your device settings, used to display the App in your language.
• Display name (optional): the name shown on leaderboards. If you sign in with Google Play Games, it is your Play Games gamer tag. Otherwise it is an automatically generated name like "Guardian5891".
• Google Play Games player ID (optional, only if you sign in): used to associate your progression with your Google account so it survives re-installs and device changes.

We do not collect: your name, email address, phone number, physical location (GPS), contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or any biometric data.

2. How we use your data

• To save and restore your game progression across sessions and devices.
• To display global and country-specific leaderboards.
• To validate in-app purchases via Google Play Billing.
• To diagnose bugs (anonymous crash reports may be sent via Google Play).

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the App's gameplay features.

3. Third-party services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Google Play Services (Google LLC): app distribution, in-app purchases, crash reporting. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
• Google Play Games Services (Google LLC, optional): sign-in, leaderboards, achievements. Same Google policy applies.
• OVH-hosted backend (vitacura.fr/mb): our own server that stores leaderboard scores, crystal balance and checkpoint save data. The data we send to it is exactly the data listed in section 1 above. The server is operated by Vitacura Soft and located in the European Union.

The App does not include any third-party advertising SDK, analytics SDK (Firebase Analytics, etc.), or social network SDK.

4. In-app purchases

The App offers optional in-app purchases (crystal packs, life slots, nukes, combo bundles). Payments are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your credit card, bank account, or any financial information. We only receive the validated receipt of your purchase to credit the corresponding pack in-game.

5. Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your data (leaderboard score, profile, crystal balance), email us at the address below. We will erase your data from our OVH backend within 30 days of your request.

If you uninstall the App, the local UUID and all on-device data are deleted immediately. Your server-side score and profile remain on our backend until you explicitly request deletion (so you can re-install and recover your progression).

6. Children

The App is rated PEGI 3 / suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The only data linked to a player account is the anonymous UUID and gameplay statistics — no identifying information is required to play.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data, and to object to its processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the email below.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the App's release notes on Google Play. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
